Dentistry Student Ambassadors

Connect with a Schulich Dentistry Student Ambassador to ask questions about our Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Program, the Western campus community, student supports, living in London, and so much more.

If you are an internationally trained dentist, connect with a Student Ambassador in our Advanced Standing Program for International Dental Graduates (ASPIDG). For information about how to apply through the ASPIDG Program, visit Schulich Dentistry DDS-ASPIDG.

“Becoming a Student Ambassador was motivated by my initial struggle with the application process, where I felt isolated because I didn’t know many upper-year students to ask for help. Recognizing the critical role of mentorship, I sought to bridge this gap for incoming applicants.”

“I like to explore around the campus for nice study spots. My current favorite spots are the newly renovated Weldon Library, University College, Thames Hall, Law Library. But I tend to return back to my good old cubicle at Taylor Library when I am under pressure.”

“When I was applying to dental school, I received a lot of valuable guidance and mentorship from current dental students that made the process less overwhelming. I would like to provide the same support to prospective students now that I am a dental student.”

“My drive for pursuing a DDS degree is fuelled by my genuine enjoyment of the social aspects of dentistry. I find immense satisfaction in getting to know patients personally and forming lasting connections with them.

Additionally, I value the balance that dentistry strikes between science and art, offering a fulfilling blend of precision and creativity in patient treatment”

“As an internationally trained dentist and a new immigrant in Canada, I had to deal with various challenges. Writing the exams and starting to build up my professional resume in Canada in order to get the admission to dental school was exciting and at the same time stressful. However, consistency and commitment paid off and I was able to make my way to Schulich Dentistry.”

Upon arriving in Canada, I harbored a strong ambition to become a licensed dentist, yet lacked proper guidance due to my unfamiliarity with anyone in the field.

Recognizing that many students face similar hurdles, I am motivated to assist them in taking a step closer to their dream.”
