Why did you decide to pursue dental school?

My decision to pursue a DDS stems from my upbringing and experiences. Growing up with my father as a dentist, I admired the profession's ability to positively impact lives. I was drawn to dentistry's blend of theoretical knowledge and fine motor skills, offering a unique opportunity to utilize creativity, math, and science to solve challenges and bring happiness to patients.

Additionally, working as a receptionist in a dental clinic exposed me to various specialties within dentistry, including pediatrics, endodontics, oral surgery, and more, highlighting the diverse career paths available and the flexible lifestyle that dentistry offers.

What was your academic or life journey to applying to dental school?

After high school, I spent two years at McMaster studying Life Sciences before transferring to the Compressed Time-Frame Nursing program at Western.
