United Way Fundraiser – Chili Lunch
Staff from the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine organized a United Way Fundraiser on October 22. Ten volunteers brought in a crockpot of homemade chili and others brought in homemade desserts. Tickets were sold in advance and at the door. There was a fantastic turnout for the lunch including many from the first floor, and other guests. A total of $260 was raised for the United Way.
By the time lunch was served at noon, the second floor was filled with the delicious aroma of chili cooking. We moved tables and chairs from the meeting rooms to our large hallway and created an extra long harvest table. It was wonderful to see over 40 guests enjoying lunch at the same time.
Sincere thanks to everyone who organized and helped that day with set up and clean up. We couldn’t have done it without you.
A big thank you to everyone who supported the lunch and made it a success!
