Session Learning Objectives:
- Understand the meaning of existential/spiritual distress and the current management options for it in palliative care.
- Critically analyze literature examining the use of psilocybin in the context of existential distress in a palliative care setting.
- Appreciate the potential role of psychedelics, especially psilocybin, in alleviating anxiety, depression and existential distress in those with life-limiting illnesses.
