Grand Rounds: Update on COPD
Join us Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. for Family Medicine Grand Rounds in the Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine Building, Room 1150.
Guest Lecturers, Drs. Jim Lewis, Medicine – Dept. of Physiology & Phamacology, Sofia Nastis – PGY1 FM Resident, and Stacey Valiquet, Family Medicine – VFMC, will give an update on COPD.
At the end of today’s Grand Rounds you will be able to:
1.Understand the significant morbidity and mortality associated with COPD exacerbations.
2.Develop treatment strategies aimed at preventing COPD exacerbations.
3.Understand the role of a novel homecare program (CC2H) currently underway for patients hospitalized for COPD exacerbation.
