Congratulations to Dr. Lisa Cameron, Dr. Parisa Shooshtari, and Dr. Zia Khan for being awarded funding through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) 2021 Discovery Grant competition. NSERC is a federal funding agency, whose mission is to help promote and maintain a diversity of research across Canadian universities and research institutions. Approximately one year ago, the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine began its pandemic response with capacity to test 300 samples daily for what was then referred to as Novel Coronavirus.
