Program Subcommittees

PGE-Sub-committee.jpg

The Residency Program Committee (RPC) has overall responsibility for the administration of all aspects of the Paediatric residency program. Vision, priorities, policies and structure are the mandate of the RPC. All decisions about curriculum, evaluation of residents and faculty, resident research and professionalism issues concerning residents and faculty are reviewed at the RPC. To enable efficient function, our program is structured with four subcommittees each reporting to the RPC. The subcommittees are Curriculum, Evaluation, Professionalism and Research. These subcommittees all have faculty and resident membership.

The RPC is chaired by the Program Director. Membership consists of the Associate Program Director(s), the Chairs of each subcommittee, our Undergraduate Education Director, the Department Chair, our chief residents, an elected resident representative from each of the four resident postgraduate years, a faculty member representing teaching sites outside London and a faculty member-at-large and the Program Administrator.

The RPC is fundamentally important for receiving and disseminating information about the Program through its members. The substantial resident participation has been very important in establishing the success of the RPC and therefore the Paediatric Program.
