Residents' Research Day
Each year, with the support of the "Dr. John C. Kennedy Memorial Endowment Fund" (a fund within the London Community Foundation), and industry support from various orthopaedic medical companies, a special conference day is held for the Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 residents in the Orthopaedic Surgery training program. They are given the opportunity to present poster presentations (Year 2) and podium abstract presentations (Year 3 to Year 5) of their clinical or research interest. Each paper is evaluated by a distinguished Visiting Professor (Orthopaedic Surgeon) who will also deliver the J.C. Kennedy Memorial Lecture.
The orthopaedic residents and faculty receive various awards within the Division:
- W. Harvey Bailey Award - for the best basic science paper
- Bailey Resident Award - for the resident who shows outstanding skills in teaching and mentoring fellow residents or medical students
