Welcome Dr. Tamara Kuzma

Dr. Tamara Kuzma joins us as a new gynecologic oncologist, she grew up in central BC, and her education & training has taken her to many parts of western Canada.  She completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Alberta.  Tamara completed her masters degree in global health, which took her to Ethiopia to investigate maternal morbidity and mortality associated with cesarean sections.  She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Saskatchewan and her gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of Calgary.

Tamara has been involved in many committees committed to women's health in Canada.  She is currently a member of the communications committee of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada, previously been a contributor to several Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists of Canada committees and been a board member of both the SOGC and the Canadian Foundation for Women's Health.  She is looking forward to joining the medical community at Western University and to staying involved in the organizations that help to shape the field.

When not working, she enjoys kick boxing and travelling abroad.  Most days, you can find her spending time with her husband and two dogs.  As a family, they love to camp and hike and are eager to explore their new home in Ontario.
