Dr. Saadia Jan is an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Western University and a clinical team leader and Medical Director at St. Joseph’s Family Medical and Dental Centre. She completed her postgraduate training in family medicine and a Masters in Clinical Science in Family Medicine from Western.
Dr. Jan’s practice is broad in scope and includes ambulatory care, long term care, home visits, community and in-hospital palliative care, sexual assault and domestic violence care, women’s health, and dermatological and aesthetics procedures. Dr. Jan has a College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario certificate in dermatology as an additional scope of practice.
Dr. Jan’s research interests include mental health, primary health care models and policy, practice-based research networks, as well as quality improvement in primacy care. More recently, she has been interested in gender, equity, diversity and inclusion issues in primary care.
Dr. Jan loves to spend time with her family of three children, enjoys hiking and long drives with her husband and has a passion for reading.
