Jo-Anne Hammond practiced comprehensive family medicine for 30 years, with the latter half being a full-time physician at Victoria Family Medical Centre. Since 2018, she has provided care for people of all ages within a women's health and family medicine OB perspective. Using the skills of a family physician, people who are cared for still feel the wholistic approach, care and compassion of a long time family physician. Residents now receive training in IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies, pessary fittings, low risk family practice obstetrics and some skin procedures. Patients range from newborns to her latest 100 year old.
