Dr. Briscoe has been a sport medicine physician at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic since completing his fellowship training in 2016. He earned his MBA at the Odette School of Business, MD at Western University, and finished his residency training in Family Medicine in 2015. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Western University and regularly teaches medical students and residents both in the classroom and clinical settings. Dr. Briscoe has a special interest in ultrasound-guided procedures since completing additional training at the University of North Carolina.
In addition to his sport medicine practice, Dr. Briscoe splits half of his clinical work as an emergency medicine physician. He has been the Medical Director for the Occupational Health Assessment Program (OHAP) at Woodstock General Hospital since 2017. Dr. Briscoe has worked extensively with varsity athletes at Western University through sport coverage for the varsity football, rugby, and ice hockey teams. He provided team coverage at the 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games, the NHL’s Kraft Hockeyville game in 2018 (Senators and Maple Leafs), and was the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the Ontario Summer Games in 2018. Dr. Briscoe helps organize and plan the medical coverage for London’s annual Forest City Road Races and is one of Team Canada’s sport medicine physicians for the National Para Hockey Team.
