Undergraduate Report
What are the med students up to:
Meds2025: Almost halfway through their Clerkship year. This class will be the first to have the Summative OSCE in third year, delivered on two separate dates (February and July) with stations covering the rotations completed. Our gratitude goes out to our UG Leadership team, Dr. Jessica Howard, Dr. Silvia Orsini and Dr. Jennifer Bondy for creating 4 new OSCE stations for Family Medicine, and to those faculty members who have volunteered to help run the OSCE stations.
Meds2024: CaRMS Interviews run January 15 – February 5. The class will then turn their attention to their Summative OSCE, the last offering in 4th year in the last week of February. Again, our gratitude to the faculty contributing as station developers and examiners. Students are also being offered a transition to MD elective from Mar 25-Apr 5. Our thanks to our faculty who have agreed to take students.
UME is Still looking for interested faculty: Faculty Undergraduate Accreditation Lead (FUAL).
The FUAL belongs to a national AFMC Network collaborating on ensuring readiness for accreditation on an ongoing basis – 0.2 FTE role with stipend with the faculty member gaining a broad perspective of the MD Program, the School, and opportunities for networking with colleagues across Canada. I invite any interested faculty members from any basic and clinical science department to reach out to me for discussion. This call will remain open until the role is filled.
