Undergraduate Report
As Dr. McKay has moved on to become the Chair/Chief of the department, Dr. Jessica Howard has taken over as the Interim UG Director in addition to her role as Clerkship Coordinator.
We are looking forward to the resumption of the Longitudinal Clinical Elective (LCE) for our second-year students. Given the COVID climate, this will be their first exposure to clinical medicine and an essential part of their pre-clerkship training. Thank you to those who took on a learner. In addition, we are collaborating with our post-graduate colleagues to formalize opportunities for residents to engage in further teaching in the undergraduate curriculum. The family medicine clerkship experience, made up of two rotations; FM Core and FM Plus, continues to be one of the most highly rated in the clerkship course. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our preceptors who make this possible.
