Postgraduate Program Report
The new academic year is off to a great start. The Postgraduate team is currently seeking feedback regarding the new curriculum changes that were implemented this year in the Urban Program. These changes were implemented to enhance continuity in Family Medicine. The feedback from both residents and faculty will be used to improve the curriculum changes.
The EPAs have been added to the Field Notes and we are hoping to be able to roll this out in the near future. We are also working on a new Faculty Advisor form that will help to enrich the periodic reviews between the residents and their primary preceptors.
Thank you for submitting all of your nominations for the PGME Bootcamp for Resident Teachers. There were many nominations submitted this year and this is great. The residents that were nominated were asked to submit an application outlining their interest in participating in this bootcamp and detailing how they plan on using these skills. Congratulations to the residents that were selected.
There are some important dates coming up over the next few months. The Family Medicine Forum will be taking place in Montreal from November 8 - 11, 2017. The CaRMS interview weekend will be taking place on January 20 and 21, 2018. The Internal Review for our program will take place on May 15 and 16, 2018.
