Postgraduate Program Report
Leadership Skills Development: We are committed to developing future leaders in Family Medicine. As such, we are pleased to be offering the Crucial Conversations course, the first module for leadership training, to our PGY1 and PGY2 residents. This session will take place on Saturday, March 25. Space is limited. To register please email Lin Hill. Deadline to register is: Friday, March 10.
CaRMS 2017: The CaRMS recruitment days that took place on January 13, 21 and 22 were a huge success. We interviewed over 600 candidates in total. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the faculty, staff and residents that have offered their assistance for these events. We couldn’t do it without you. Match day is March 1 and the CaRMS 2nd iteration interview day is tentatively scheduled for March 16.
Continuity in Family Medicine Training: We have made some changes to the London Urban program curriculum in order to increase continuity in Family Medicine training. The goal is to have residents start in Family Medicine earlier in their residency and remain more connected to Family Medicine throughout their residency. These changes will be rolled out in July 2017.
