Postgraduate Program Report
On behalf of the Postgraduate Program, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the incoming PGY1 residents. The new academic year is off to a great start and we have some exciting new innovations that we have implemented.
We have rolled out our new competency-based In-Training Evaluation Reports (ITERs) for the core Family Medicine rotations. These new ITERs have been tailored to each rotation. We will continue rolling these out in other rotations over the course of this academic year. There are also some new changes with the myFM resident assessment system. Residents now log their academic credits using the myFM system. The credit categories reflect the program competencies and entrustable professional activities.
There are some important dates coming up over the next few months. The Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture Series will take place on September 21, 2016. The Family Medicine Forum will be taking place in Vancouver on November 9 - 12, 2016. The CaRMS interview weekend will be taking place on January 21 and 22, 2017.
