The department of family medicine would like to congratulate Dr. Jo-Anne Hammond, Victoria Family Medical Centre, on being named the Ontario College of Family Physicians (OCFP) Regional Family Physician of the Year for Region 2.
The Regional Family Physician of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding contributions of seven OCFP members, one from each region, who provide exemplary care to their patients and are passionately involved in activities that contribute to excellence in family medicine.
"It is a great honour to have received this award, and honestly most unexpected," said Dr. Jo-Anne Hammond. "I sincerely thank all of my colleagues and my patients who nominated me and sent such amazing supporting letters."
The award will be presented at the 2016 OCFP Honours & Awards Ceremony on November 24 in Toronto, as part of the Ontario College of Family Physicians' Annual Scientific Assembly.
