Graduate Program Report
Our Graduate Program Convocation took place on June 16, 2016. Dr's. Nusrat Jamil (February in absentia graduate), John Tamale and Annabeth Loveys (February in absentia graduate) were in attendance. Dr's. Sofia Cuba (February in absentia graduate), Michelle Levy (February in absentia graduate) and Jana Malhotra were unable to attend the celebration.
We were honoured to have Dr. Garth Kidd hood Dr. Annabeth Loveys, our 100th graduate of the MClSc Program. Dr. Kidd (who at the time worked in the Faculty of Graduate Studies) helped Dr's. Ian McWhinney and Martin Bass sheppard the Family Medicine master's program through the provincial appraisal committee and ultimately launched the MClSc Program in 1977, almost 40 years ago.
We are happy to announce that we will have three MClSc students and one PhD student joining the program this fall. Welcome to Dr's. Cassandra Lin, Nishanthi Ravichandiran, Kenichi Yokobayashi (MClSc) and Lynn Farrales (PhD).
The MClSc / PhD Programs will launch the 2016-17 academic year with their on-site sessions from September 19 - 30, 2016 at the Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine.
