Cancellation Policy

Our Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 10 business days (Sat/Sun not included) before the course start date will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 10 business days of the course start date. 

To cancel your registration, you must send your request in writing to the CDE office at cde@schulich.uwo.ca  

Refunds will not be issued for registrants who do not attend the course, regardless of the reason for their absence.

Course registrations cannot be transferred to another individual.  

Continuing Dental Education (Western University) reserves the right to cancel courses if necessary due to insufficient registrations, instructor cancellation, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. In the event of course cancellation, a full refund will be issued. Registrants will be notified promptly. We are not liable for any associated losses, damages, or other expenses, such as travel and accommodations.

Please note: our cancellation policy may vary for certain courses. It's the registrant's responsibility to check the cancellation policy for the individual course. 

Additional Information

By attending the course, attendees agree to allow photographing, videotaping or audio-taping that may take place for educational purposes.

Live Webinars: It's the participants responsibilty to make sure they check their email (including Junk & Spam folders) for the email sent to registrants 5-7 days before the course date. The email includes the Zoom link, instructions and policies for "live" online courses.

Registration Deadline: Registration for all Continuing Dental Education courses close one week prior to the scheduled course date, unless otherwise posted. Pre-registration for all courses is required

Limited Attendance Courses:  Certain courses are subject to limited attendance; participants register on a first come basis. 

RCDSO Category 1 Courses: In order to receive a Letter of Attendance (CE Points), all registrants must adhere by the RCDSO guidelines for Core courses. Category 1 courses delivered via Zoom webinars, participants must abide by the Category 1- Terms and Conditions.

Lost or Misplaced Letters of Verification: A $25 administration fee will be charged for each duplicate copy.

Dietary Restrictions: We aim to accommodate all dietary requests, however, catering for groups does have limitations. We are committed to excellence and serving you well.

Study Credits:  Western Continuing Dental Education courses are approved by the RCDSO for Mandatory Continuing Education Credits. Continuing Dental Education at the Schulich school of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University is also an ADA CERP recognized provider.
International Participants: If you wish to participate in a Continuing Dental Education course, please obtain your Travel Visa before registration. Documentation will not be provided to obtain a Visa.
