Please refer to the email from the Secretariat office regarding convocation tickets to attend the ceremony in order to gain admittance to the auditorium, space permitting. Additional information on tickets can be found on the Convocation website.
Luncheon and Awards Ceremony
There is an awards luncheon for graduates and up to two members of their family/friends, which will be held after the convocation ceremony, at the Great Hall, Somerville House.
Parking
Guests should park at the South Valley Parking Lot (see map here) and follow the path up the stairs to Alumni Hall. Parking will be free of charge on a first-come first-served basis. Shuttle service will be provided between Alumni Hall and South Valley Parking Lot at no charge starting at 7:30 a.m. Accessible parking is available in the Alumni Hall parking lot.
Flowers
Friends and relatives wishing to send flowers to graduates are requested to have them delivered to Room 17 (lower level) Alumni Hall before 4:30 p.m. The flowers should be picked up in that area immediately following the ceremony. Note that while the University provides a drop off location for flowers, it does not take responsibility for lost or stolen bouquets.
Photography/DVD*
Attending graduates will have their portraits taken at Convocation, and Western will provide each a 5x7 photograph free of charge after the ceremony. Students are required to pre-register online here where they can select their ceremony date and time.
Students who did not pre-register should visit the Photography/DVD page for details on how to obtain their free photo.
For more information, see the Photography/DVD page.
* A photographer will be on site at the Awards Ceremony at the Great Hall. Pictures taken at the Great Hall will be emailed to students who are in the pictures.
