From the Desk of Dr. Quiñonez
Winter 2024/2025
As the days get shorter and colder and as we gear up for the holiday season, we have an opportunity to reflect and give thanks for what we have. For my part, I am blessed with a loving and healthy family, and that can never be taken for granted.
I am also surrounded by exceptionally hard-working leaders, faculty, staff, and students, and as director of dentistry, I cannot thank you enough for that. To be sure, given the significant effort that dentistry’s family makes every day to meet our duties to patients, each other, and ourselves, I have no choice but to give as much as I can in return.
I am reminded of something I once read, namely that the harder I work, the luckier I get. I have found this to be true, and for what it’s worth, it helps me explain why I feel so lucky to be here at Schulich Dentistry.
As a way of paying it forward, we once again held our yearly bake sale to raise funds for the London Food Bank. This helps fill a significant need in our community as the holiday season approaches, so I hope you all filled up on the tasty treats, and of course, brushed and flossed your teeth right after, ha!
As well, in the new year, we will organize ourselves to hopefully contribute substantially to a local blood drive, as giving the gift of life is a great way to express our thanks for what will inevitably be a bright year ahead for Schulich Dentistry.
In closing, a big thank you, and I will see you in 2025!
