SPEA hosts Royal College speakers
The School’s chapter of the Student Professionalism & Ethics Association (SPEA) hosted a speaker event with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) for dental students on March 19.
Drs. Larisa Naderiani and Vicky Nguyen, practice advisors within the Quality Assurance department of the RCDSO, spoke to students on a wide range of topics related to guidelines and standards of care for dentists in Ontario.
The speakers addressed several questions that had been submitted by students in advance, touching on issues such as practice regulations, dealing with lawsuits and disputes, respecting boundaries, reporting abuse, continuing education, and advertising.
Naderiani and Nguyen provided students with a wealth of information and resources that will undoubtedly prove useful as they progress through their education and career.
