At the Centre for Quality, Innovation & Safety, membership is open to anyone with an interest in improving care. Whether you’re a physician, nurse, healthcare professional, leader, administrator, educator, learner, researcher, or healthcare staff member, if you’re passionate about making systems better—we welcome you!

Why Become a Member?

Membership matters. It connects you to a growing community of individuals who care deeply about improving healthcare. Together, we create a collaborative network of improvers who share ideas, support each other’s projects, and promote high-impact quality improvement initiatives across care settings.

As a member, you’re part of something bigger: a movement to improve health outcomes, equity, efficiency, and patient experience. Membership is both a chance to contribute and an opportunity to grow. You’ll benefit from shared knowledge, mentorship, events, and resources - and you’ll also help shape the Centre’s activities through your insights, experiences, and leadership.

Our Membership Framework

We’ve introduced a new membership framework that reflects the diverse ways individuals contribute to the Centre’s mission. There are two categories of membership:

Core Members are the primary partners of the Centre. They actively support and participate in QI initiatives and events, contributing regularly to QI projects, education, mentorship, or research. Core members may serve in advisory roles.

Associate Members are those who support and participate in QI initiatives and are interested in learning, contributing, or staying connected. They benefit from access to resources and may engage in events, QI projects, and professional development opportunities.

Both groups are valued and essential to building a learning community of continuous improvement.
