LHSC CEO Shout Out for Dr. Alan Gob

Dear colleagues,

Quality improvement is critical to our collective work of advancing our mission at LHSC. Thank you, Dr. Alan Gob (Hematologist), for incorporating and teaching the importance of quality improvement in your daily work. Your dedication to data-driven solutions and your continuous pursuit of improvement are deeply appreciated.

I would like to express formal appreciation for Dr. Alan Gob, Clinical Lead at the Centre for Quality, Innovation and Safety (CQuInS). Dr. Gob leads the education arm of this new quality improvement (QI) centre, but has been quietly teaching and sharing his passion for QI for many years. I have witnessed a slow but steady culture change around the value of iteratively exploring data-informed solutions as a way to improve patient care.

I recently had the opportunity to study under him while taking the Quality Improvement in Healthcare Certificate offered through CQuInS. Because of his tutelage, I now feel more inspired than ever to strengthen quality improvement work in my own division. 

Dr. Gob embodies quality teaching, excellent clinical care and strong QI leadership.
