Applying to Ivey Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO)
High school students interested in the combined BMSc/HBA degree should apply for Ivey Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO) on the Ontario Universities's Application Centre (OUAC) when they are selecting Medical Sciences First Entry (ESM). Ivey AEO extends conditional, pre-admission status to the HBA Program to exceptional high school students. There is a separate application for AEO that must be submitted by mid-January.
The 5-year combined program leads to an Honours Business Administration and an Honors BMSc degree. In Years 1 and 2, students are registered in the Faculty of Science and follow the normal BMSc Honors Specialization curriculum including Business 2257. In Year 3, students are registered in the HBA program. Students are registered in the combined program in Years 4 and 5. A competitive Ivey AEO application includes:
- Strong Academics - 90+% average in your best Grade 12 high school courses, including English
- Mathematics - Completion of a mathematics course for university-bound students
- Leadership - Demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities, community involvement, and work experience

Apply for admission to Western through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC).

Choose any academic program or module at Western for your first two years of university study. Please ensure you indicate your intention to apply for the Ivey AEO status on your OUAC application by clicking 'yes' on the radio button stating 'Ivey Advanced Entry Opportunity'. The Ivey AEO is a status rather than a program choice you make and requires you to complete a separate application (see below).

Complete an Ivey AEO Application. Create a Username and Password to begin or update your existing application.
Achieving Ivey AEO status is a separate decision and notification process from your admission to Western.
The Ivey AEO application deadline is January 15, 2020.
