We are proud of the eight-year accreditation status that was earned as a team effort from faculty, staff, residents, health-care partners, graduates and our students through strong leadership and tireless collaboration.

Melanie Kok, PhD'15, and Eric Sonke, MSc'15, have been awarded with two of the three Governor General's Academic Gold Medals presented at Western University. For more than 140 years, these medals have been become the most prestigious award that students at Canadian schools can receive.

Dr. Elizabeth Osuch, Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Medical Biophysics, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University, and Scientist in Neurosciences and Imaging at the Lawson Health Research Institute, has been re-appointed as the Dr. Joseph Rea Chair in Mood Disorders at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University.
Bringing new life into research on the placenta

Charles McKenzie, PhD, and Timothy Regnault, PhD, have received $3.7 million in funding from the NIH as part of its Human Placenta Project. The researchers will develop a new technology based on MRI that will allow them, for the first time, to monitor changes in placental metabolism as pregnancy unfolds.
