In Memoriam – Dr. Walter Teteruck
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Dr. Walter Teteruck, chair, Continuing Dental Education, and professor emeritus, Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, Western University.
Dr. Teteruck helped establish the dental school at Western and taught as a professor for more than 30 years. After his retirement, he continued his commitment to the School, starting and directing the Continuing Dental Education program.
Dr. Teteruck taught countless dental practitioners over the course of his long career, and wrote and developed many books and research papers. He was respected around the world as a leader in dental education. He was also recognized throughout his career, winning numerous honours including awards from the Academy of Dentistry International and the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.
He is fondly remembered for his kindness and dedication to helping individuals in need, his passion for automobiles and living life to its fullest.
A celebration of Dr. Teteruck’s life is being held on Tuesday, August 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church in London, Ontario. His complete obituary and visitation information can be found here.
