Cancer Biology
The study of Cancer Biology in our department encompasses a myriad of approaches to diagnose, understand, and treat cancer. Researchers in this cluster include scientists, clinicians, geneticists, and computational specialists who are applying their unique skills to better understand cancer, devise new diagnostic tools, and improve treatment outcomes. We are investigating solid tumours and hematological malignancies derived from all major organ sites. Highlights of the cancer biology program include the investigation of cancer epigenetics, applications of digital pathology, harnessing the immune system to fight cancer, and bioinformatics. These areas of emphasis further connect us with our department colleagues in other themes.
