Dr. Tithecott completed his Doctor of Medicine at Western University and his residency in Paediatrics at Dalhousie University and in The Hospital for Sick Children at the University of Toronto. He holds a Fellowship in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Masters in Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at Western University.
Dr. Tithecott has been a member of the Department of Paediatrics while delivering patient care and clinical education as a consultant general paediatrician in Chatham-Kent. Dr. Tithecott has served in the past in hospital leadership as the Chief of Medical Staff at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. He joined the LHSC Department of Paediatrics Division of General Academic Paediatric in December 2016 as the division head and lead for the Clinical Teaching Unit in the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario.
Dr. Tithecott has been the Associate Dean Undergraduate Medical Education at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University since 2011. He is a member of a variety of provincial and national medical education committees including the chair of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada Undergraduate Medical Education Deans’ Committee and the co-chair of the AFMC Task Force on the AFMC Student Questionnaire. Dr. Tithecott has acted as an accreditor for the Committee on Accreditation for Canadian Medical Schools and the Ontario IQUAP Process.
