Sepi Taheri is an Academic General Paediatrician in the Clinical Teaching Unit at the Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor at Western University.
Dr. Taheri graduated from Edinburgh University Medical School in the UK. She completed her post-graduate training in London, England, in paediatrics with an interest in Paediatric Nephrology. She then returned to Edinburgh where she was appointed as Consultant Paediatrician and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and Edinburgh University. She was the lead for the Acute Receiving Unit at the Children’s Hospital, and a councillor member and regional representative of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, before deciding to move to London, Ontario for family reasons in 2012.
She has developed a research interest in the causes and treatment of childhood headache as well as related areas, such as recurrent abdominal pain, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
She is passionate about teaching and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education of medical students and residents at this institution.
