Dr. Sharma is an Associate Professor at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University. He is a Consultant Nephrologist at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, London, Ontario. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and a Fellow of American Society of Nephrology (FASN).
Dr. Sharma has an extensive experience in managing different kidney problems, hypertension, dialysis modalities and kidney transplantation. He is well recognized as a very effective teacher. Dr. Sharma has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications in high impact medical journals and has contributed to some important book chapters. He regularly serves as a reviewer for many leading medical journals. Dr. Sharma’s research has focused on nephrotic syndrome, renal tubular acidosis, peritoneal dialysis, measurement of kidney functions, hemolytic uremic syndrome and childhood hypertension
