Dr. Sarah Pilon is an Assistant Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University in London, Ontario. She completed her Pediatric residency at the University of Ottawa and her subspecialty fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics at McMaster University. Dr. Pilon’s clinical focus centers around the management of children with neuromotor disorders. She adopts a practical approach, aiming to understand the child’s functioning both at home and in their communities with the aim of enhancing participation. She frequently works within an interdisciplinary team model. “I hope that families leave my clinic feeling as though they have been heard, are being supported, and are empowered to work towards the best possible outcomes for their child.” In addition to managing children with neuromotor involvement, Dr. Pilon is interested in the assessment and management of children with intellectual disabilities and school-based learning challenges. She is involved in educational initiatives at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
