Dr. Angelica Moresco is a pediatrician and clinical genetics specialist, who joined London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC, University of Western Ontario) in October 2022 as a Clinical Geneticist and Assistant Professor in Paediatrics. Before moving to Canada, she served as a Chief of Clinic Genetics, and Program Director of the Medical Genetics and Pediatric Hereditary Cancer fellowship programs at the National Pediatric Hospital “Dr J.P. Garrahan” in Buenos Aires, Argentina (the largest pediatric hospital in South America). She also served as coordinator of the Pediatric Hereditary Cancer and Segmental Overgrowth Syndromes clinics and participated in several multidisciplinary groups such as the Skeletal Dysplasia, Vascular Anomalies and Neuromuscular clinics. Dr Moresco completed her medical training at the Universidad of Córdoba, followed by a residency in Pediatrics (2005), a further residency in Medical Genetics (2009), and research fellowships in Congenital Malformations (2010) and Neuromuscular Disease (2012). She also completed a Masters degree in Medical Molecular Biology at the University of Buenos Aires. Her clinical and research interests include segmental overgrowth syndromes, skeletal dysplasias, and neuromuscular disorders.
