Dr. Jovana Milenkovic is a Hospital Paeditrician in the Division of Paediatric Hospital Medicine and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at Western University. She undertook her undergraduate studies at McMaster University and obtained her MD from the University of Toronto, before moving to Calgary to complete her Paediatric residency training at the University of Calgary. Following residency, she went on to complete her fellowship in Paediatric Hospital Medicine at the University of Calgary. In her fellowship, she expanded her knowledge and competency in clinical care, quality improvement, medical education, advocacy, research, and leadership in the field of Paediatic Hospital Medicine. Dr. Milkenkovic has a special interest in caring for children with medical complexity.
Dr. Milenkovic is currently completing a Master of Science in Healthcare Quality at Queen’s University. She is passionate about quality improvement and patient safety. She strives to create a safe space for innovation and collaboration to optimize patient safety, and patient-centered care and ensure the delivery of high-quality care through quality improvement initiatives. She is currently the Children’s Hospital Solutions for Patient Safety Quality Improvement Implementation Lead and the Quality Improvement lead for the division of Paediatric Hospital Medicine.
