Dr. Breanna Chen joined the division of Paediatric Hospital Medicine in 2016 as a hospital paediatrician. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Calgary and obtained her MD from the University of Alberta. Dr. Chen completed residency training at both the University of Alberta and Western University and went on to complete an additional year of clinical fellowship training in Paediatric Respirology at Western University.
As the Division Head and Director of the Clinical Teaching Unit, Dr. Chen works to drive systemic improvements in patient care, foster educational excellence, and build strong partnerships within the Department of Paediatrics, the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and with our regional and national colleagues.
Dr. Chen holds significant leadership roles in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate medical education and has clinical interests in all things paediatric hospital medicine, asthma, respiratory health and the management of sialorrhea.
