Biography
Dr. Jacob McGee is a Gynecologic Oncologist at London Health Science Centre in London. He completed his gynecologic oncology fellowship training at the University of Toronto after residency training in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of Ottawa. He has a masters in Public Health from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Western Ontario.Dr. McGee’s clinic practice consists of care of patients with gynecologic cancers, patients who require complicated gynecologic surgery, and patients with pre-cancerous conditions of the lower genital tract. He has expertise in the laparoscopic management of high grade endometrial cancer, minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of cervical cancer, and maximally invasive surgery for the management of ovarian cancer.
Current research interests include optimizing tumor testing capabilities for the identification of genetic mutations associated with the development of gynecologic malignancies. In addition, he is involved in outcomes research through ICES. He lives in London Ontario with wife, 5 kids, and dog Jazz.
