Dr. Stephanie Black BHSc MD FRCSC completed her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at McMaster University. She completed her Medical Degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Western University. She then went on to complete additional training in the Contraception Advice, Research and Education (C.A.R.E.) Fellowship at Queen's University.
Dr. Black has an active general Obstetrics and Gynecology practice and cares for women of all ages and in all stages of life. Her special interests include reproductive health, contraception, and adolescent Obstetrical care. She is proficient in minimally invasive surgical techniques including hysteroscopy, minimally invasive hysterectomy and laparoscopy.
Dr. Black is an assistant professor at Western University and is involved in teaching medical students and residents. She is involved in the Undergraduate Medical Education and CBME committees. She supports research initiatives through the department and research interests include factors contributing to contraceptive choice.
