WIIIC at FOCIS
The establishment of CHI was based on the long history of scientific and clinical excellence in Basic and Clinical Immunology at Western. This was recognized by the International Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS). The first FOCIS Centre of Excellence in Clinical Immunology in Canada was established in 2003 and led by Dr. Joaquin Madrenas at Western. At present CHI continues to represent Western at FOCIS as a FOCIS Center of Excellence (FCE). The current details of CHI at FOCIS are available at: www.focisnet.org/communities/fces/ and www.focisnet.org/communities/fces/directory/With the transition of CHI to WIIIC, the new Centre will continue to represent Western at FOCIS going forward. There is no cost associated with our association with FOCIS.
