Fellowship Programs
Welcome to the Western University Department of Medical Imaging Fellowship Program!
The Medical Imaging Fellowship program at Western University provides advanced post-graduate training to qualified radiologists in several subspecialty areas. Fellowship programs are delivered in two academic hospital systems – London Health Sciences Centre (Victoria Hospital and University Hospital) and St. Joseph’s Healthcare London.
Our hospitals have state-of-the-art imaging infrastructure in all modalities allowing for high quality examinations and our expert staff are fellowship trained and leaders in their field. By the end of their fellowship, our clinical fellows are prepared for their future career. Fellows are exposed to large volume and wide variety of cases; develop their teaching skills by teaching residents and medical students; and acquire consultation skills by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and presenting at tumor boards.
Finally, our fellowship programs offer excellent opportunities for research. Protected time is provided to fellows working on research projects. Western University offers on site research facilities with dedicated research scientists from Robarts Research Institute and Lawson Research Health Institute. Fellows are encouraged to participate and present at meetings and conferences.
We offer 7 Fellowship Training Programs in Abdominal Imaging, Breast Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Vascular and Interventional Imaging. Review details for each program in the tabs below.
