In Memoriam

Fall 2024/25

memoriam1.pngWe have recently lost several members of the Schulich community.

Dr. Rudha Al-Rohani (DDS’13) passed away on June 7, 2024. In addition to being a former Schulich Dentistry student, Dr. Al-Rohani was a highly valued member of the Family Medicine and Dental Clinic as part of the GPR Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was set to receive his ten-year service pin before succumbing to cancer at only 40 years of age. His obituary tells a story about a young life richly lived, and he will be greatly missed.

Dr. Richard Park (BSc Honors’76 DDS’81), another graduate who became part of Schulich Dentistry's adjunct faculty team, passed away on June 8, 2024 after a battle with illness. Dr. Park had been teaching in the Simulation Clinic for almost 24 years and his loss is already keenly felt by Dentistry students and faculty.

We also learned about the loss of Dr. Frank Mader who passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 90. Dr. Mader was one of the original clinical instructors in Grad Ortho who was very well respected in academic, dental, and community circles; he was one of the original orthodontists in London and was also a past president of the LDDS.

Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of our esteemed colleagues.
