Adjunct Faculty Profile - Welcome to the Other London

Dr. Diana Al-Buhaisi never thought she would call our London home. Born in London, England, she joined our team of dedicated adjunct faculty in October, 2022. A recent graduate of Schulich's Master of Public Health Program, Dr. Al-Buhaisi has been practising dentistry for over fifteen years. In 2013, she obtained a Master's degree in Restorative Dentistry from the UK then headed to Abu Dhabi where she practised restorative dentistry exclusively for for the next eight years.

While working in the UAE, Dr. Al-Buhaisi helped develop an in-hospital Dental Residency / Training Program and she mentored dental students in the Operative Department. For her, the most rewarding part of teaching future dentists is watching them grow, and apply correct judgement independently.

Dr. Al-Buhaisi's teaching focuses on Operative Dentistry. This is the field she is most passionate about and she is looking forward to helping first-year students assimilate course material and develop their skills.

The busy mother of four offers some sage advice for current students as well as those considering a career in dentistry. "Do your best," she says, "but don't be too hard on yourselves."
