Engage Western

Western University President Alan Shepard invited the London and area community to join Western faculties, research institutes, and departments at Engage Western on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Schulich Dentistry leaders, students, and community partners were at RBC Place for the early morning event, representing the Dentistry Clinics as well as our Community Service Learning Program.

Guests had the opportunity to hear from President Alan Shepard in a keynote address, where he outlined Western’s activities in the city and shared future plans. Mayor Josh Morgan and local Indigenous elders Mary Lou and Dan Smoke also spoke to the packed room.

The event featured a variety of interactive booths where guests could connect with the Western team, including Western Talent, Student Engagement, Advanced Education, and information on doing business with Western.

Attendees also had the chance to listen to presentations by top researchers, who discussed emerging trends in severe weather and respiratory health, providing valuable insights into these areas of study.
