Medicine Class of 2022 - Welcome to the family
The Medicine Class of 2022 at the Schulich Medicine – Windsor Campus ended their first week of school with the annual Meet & Greet event.
For the second year, medical students were joined by their colleagues in nursing, giving them an opportunity to mix and mingle with upper-year students and faculty as they got their feet firmly planted in the program and community.
Dr. Larry Jacobs, associate dean, Schulich Medicine – Windsor Campus, welcomed students, faculty and staff to the event and back to a new academic year. He was joined in sharing well-wishes by Dr. Linda Patrick, dean, Faculty of Nursing, University of Windsor, Dr. Dema Kadri, PGY-2, Family Medicine, and Dr. Ryan Parker, PGY-4, Psychiatry, as well as Dr. Douglas Kneale, interim-president, University of Windsor.
Alex Martin, Medicine Class of 2021, Vice-President, Hippocratic Council, shared some encouraging and inspiring words with the incoming class as they began this next phase of their life.
The event was extra special this year, as Dr. Magbule Doko recited her published poem “Nothing”.
