Guide to Organizing Milestone/Anniversary Events: Marketing, Communications and Event Promotion
Are you celebrating a milestone as a Department in the coming years? This guide will outline the support the Communications & Marketing team is able to provide based on the anniversary or milestone being celebrated. Each celebration is different and these are some ideas of how we can help. If your Department has other ideas of support that could be done instead of those suggested below, reach out and inquire as to the possibilities.
Support provided for the 25 year anniversary encompasses the support outlined for the 10 year anniversary. As well,
It’s key to reach out to the Communications & Marketing team as early as possible. Planning for some of these milestones can take more than a year – it’s never too early to let us know how you’re thinking of celebrating the upcoming anniversary. Plus we can add your event date to the Schulich Events Calendar so others are aware of the date.

Graphic Support |
* Create anniversary identifier to be used by Department

* Assist in the production of some assets/templates for - Event Poster - Web Banner - Graphic for electronic invitation |
* Assist in the design and production of all assets/templates. This includes: - Visix slides - Printed event assets: invitations, menus, dinner programs, welcome signage

Communication Support |
* Feature story written and shared in monthly publications and posted on * Photo gallery posted on social media honouring the milestone. Gallery could include event photos or historical photos from over the years

* Photographer to capture special moments – if a School photographer is not available, the Communications team will identify an outside photographer to use * Consult with Social Media team to determine ways in which the celebration can be shared on social media

* Assist with the development of key messages and alumni/faculty/staff engagement strategy * Feature story/section in annual Alumni publication to be shared on social media, on web and in other monthly publications
