Congratulations to Assistant Professor Justin Hicks for being one of the recipients of Alzehimer Society of Canada’s funding grants.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory of Medicine would like to offer congratulations to MohdWessam Al Jawhri, who has completed his MSc in Pathology. Dr. Lisa Cameron is Wessam’s supervisor. The title of Wessam’s thesis is “The Effects of Glucocorticoids on Th2 Cell Phenotype and Function.”
Congratulations to Kimya Manouchehri for taking home the second-place poster prize at The American Head and Neck Society’s international conference. Her project examined how accurately CT imaging estimates cartilage invasion in laryngeal cancer.
Congratulations to Kelly Zhou for being recognized by Inspiring Minds — a campus-wide partnership that broadens awareness of graduate student research. Zhou's current research focuses on a family of receptors called Adhesion G protein-coupled receptors (aGPCRs). These receptors are involved in various diseases, but there are currently no drugs that directly target them.
