In the new issue of JAMA, Dr. Chris Harle and the FIBRES research group report the finding of their randomized controlled trial, which included patients from 11 major Canadian hospital. The RCT sought to determine if fibrinogen concentrate is noninferior to cryoprecipitate for treatment of bleeding related to hypofibrinogenemia after cardiac surgery.
