Euroanaesthesia 2019
Euroanaesthesia is the biggest anesthesia event in Europe, with approximately 6,000 delegates from just over 90 countries being represented. This year, the conference was held in Vienna, Austria.
Dr. Rudy Noppens presented a lecture on video laryngoscopy vs. direct laryngoscopy. He also presented unpublished data from the EMMA trial; an international randomized clinical multicenter trial which recruited over 2,000 patients, making it the largest randomized clinical trial on video laryngoscopy so far.
Dr. Noppens presented multiple lectures and workshop on flexible intubation endoscopy during the conference, as well as teaching indirect laryngoscopy with a range of stylets and different types of video laryngoscopes.
As a member of the Euroanesthesia Airway Management Workshop, Dr. Noppens (top-right) is featured alongside 74 delegates from around the world. The international faculty of this group comes from Australia, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, USA, South-Africa, Germany, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland, UK, Poland, Romania, Italy, Slovenia, and Turkey.
Excitingly, a video highlighting our Fellowship Program was shown throughout the conference venues as part of Euroanaesthesia TV. See the video below!
