The new pDAP program is in full swing!
The goals program includes:
- A single point of access for men in London/Middlesex region with a suspected diagnosis of prostate cancer and designed according to Cancer Care Ontario best practice guidelines
- Streamlined scheduling and coordination of diagnostic tests and consultations using a model designed by clinicians and patients
- Consolidation of all diagnostic prostate biopsy procedures to St. Joseph’s Hospital supporting an improved system of care across the region
- A Nurse Navigator who ensures relevant and timely information and support for patients throughout the assessment process and treatment options.
- Timely access to high quality diagnostic services that improve the overall patient experience, accelerate appropriate treatments, reduce wait times, and enhance quality of life throughout the assessment of prostate cancer
