Module Creation

The DMI team is trained in a variety of module creation services to help faculty improve the student learning experience. The eLearning toolkit provided at Western allows for online course content to include higher levels of student interaction and can supplement in-class learning for blended courses in a visually appealing format. The DMI team offers 1-on-1 meetings and assistance for faculty interested in implementing learning modules within their courses.

We recently teamed up with the Council on Reforming Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Trainees (CREDIT) to create a learning module on Articulate focusing on EDI, as shown in the examples below.

Some examples of learning module platforms include

Articulate 360

Articulate 360 - Articulate 360 is a suite of online content creation software tools. It is frequently used to create asynchronous, student-paced online module content. These modules can include knowledge checks, interactive elements, and voice-overs. Online modules can be great choices for content delivery for fully online asynchronous courses or for flipped classrooms. These modules can be embedded into OWL and can also be “tracked” to evaluate student completion. See below for access to an example of an Articulate Rise module.

HTML5 Package

H5P means “HTML5 Package”. H5P content includes interactive elements like quizzes, and interactive videos. Our DMI team can help you include H5P content directly into your OWL site.
